JWWA invited delegates from overseas water associations and organized the international events in Annual Conference on 10 - 11 November, 2016 in Kyoto. 14 guests from 7 associations and IWA were participated. （Overseas participants list）

 

1.　 International Water Forum (Thursday, 10 November, 14:00～17:30)

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, IWA Japan YWP and JWWA co-organized “International Water Forum” titled “Challenges for Human Resource Development –Towards Sustainable Water Supply–”. About 100 people attended this forum.
In this year, 4 countries (Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, USA) and Japan-YWP made presentations on human resource development. After that, 1 representative from each country and the Kyoto City Waterworks Bureau joined in the panel session.
At the wrap-up session, we shared the importance to tell young people that waterworks is an attractive job and the necessity to build a knowledge database for the development of human resources.
